SailorsLog collects no data. Your logbook entries, photos, GPS coordinates, and GPX tracks are stored in your private Apple iCloud account. We have no servers, no databases, and no access to your content. Apple handles all storage and sync via CloudKit.

Your data, your control

Export your logbook as markdown files from the app settings
Delete individual entries at any time
Clear everything via Settings — or remove SailorsLog data entirely through iOS Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage

We do not share data with third parties. We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking on this website.

Terms

SailorsLog is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the app is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), which covers licensing, warranties, liability, and intellectual property.

The following terms are specific to SailorsLog.

Subscriptions

SailorsLog uses a freemium model:

Free — first 10 entries, local storage only (no cloud backup)
Skipper (€29/year) — unlimited entries, iCloud sync across devices, data export, clean postcards

Subscriptions are auto-renewing yearly via your Apple ID. They renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions.

Family Sharing: The Skipper subscription supports Family Sharing for up to 6 members. Each member gets their own private logbook in their own iCloud account — entries are never shared between family members.

Refunds: All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must go through Apple's App Store support.

Navigation disclaimer

SailorsLog is not a navigation tool. GPS coordinates, maps, and tracks are for logbook documentation only. Do not rely on SailorsLog for navigation, safety, or emergency purposes. Always use proper marine charts and navigation equipment.
